Once the examinations are complete it's time to mark the examination scripts and display the results for students.
Find out about the marks used by the University when marking an examination script, the role of the progression and award boards and how to display provisonal then final results.
Exam scripts and assessed coursework are marked anonymously. Processes are in place to ensure the fairness and equity of marks awarded.
Marking scales and non-numeric marks
From academic year 2018/19 all University assessments will be marked on a 0-100 scale (or a categorical marking scale aligned to a 0-100 scale).
Provisional marks should be entered in to Banner and students alerted so that they can see them. There are different instructions for semesters one and two.
Marks and classifications must be uploaded into Banner and released to the Exams Team and the necessary signed paperwork submitted by the deadline.
