Teaching disabled students

Making our teaching accessible to disabled students, including those studying for research degrees, can benefit all our students.

Specific advice is available for those teaching students with dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) and Asperger Syndrome.

Autism Spectrum conditions

Research suggests that around one person in 100 has an autism spectrum condition. Knowing how to teach and support autistic students can make a big difference.

Inclusive feedback for disabled students

The University is committed to taking an inclusive approach in all aspects of assessment and feedback

Specific learning difficulties

Approximately 4% of all university students are diagnosed with a specific learning difficulty and respond well to teaching which takes account of this.
