Fresh Start Festival

The Fresh Start festival runs every year after January assessments. It’s an opportunity to rengage with clubs, societies and activities throughout the week for those students who are already here, and is a welcome opportunity for the new starters in January,

It can vary, but usually around 1000 students begin their studies in January, and 90% of those are international students doing a study abroad opportunity. The remaining group are often postgraduate students. The Fresh Start festival is a partnership event between the University of Leeds and Leeds University Union (LUU).

The events begin to be annouced and published in early January, and the full programme is usually ready by the middle of the month.
