Student Operations directorate

The Student Operations Directorate is made up of the Student Finance, Programme Support and Assessment, Quality Assurance and Postgraduate Research and Operations teams.

Programme Support and Assessment

The Head of Programme Support and Assessment is Tessa Mobbs.

The team has responsibility for processes supporting the student experience, including student registration, timetabling, assessment and examinations (for taught programmes), and graduation.

Postgraduate Research and Operations

The Head of Postgraduate Research and Operations is Christina Robinson.

The team is responsible for services supporting postgraduate research students including assessment and examination, and the submission of theses.

Quality Assurance

The Head of Quality Assurance is Jenny Lyon.

The team has responsibility for the quality of programmes offered by the University, including the introduction and withdrawal of modules and degree programmes.

Student Finance

The Head of Student Finance is Abi Shearsmith.

The team is responsible for the financial aspects of student life, for both taught and research students. This includes processing student funding through loans, scholarships and bursaries, and the payment of tuition and accommodation fees.
