Policy on Reasonable Adjustments

The University is committed to inclusivity, and it is important that this commitment is reflected in assessment practices meeting the needs of its diverse student population, and that these are fair, transparent and consistently applied.

The Equality Act 2010 requires the University to take steps to prevent substantial disadvantage to disabled students and ensure they are provided the same opportunities as their non-disabled peers. This includes making reasonable adjustments to assessments where appropriate. This policy sets out the approach within the University for making adjustments and who is responsible for each aspect of this process

The Policy on Reasonable Adjustments sets out the University’s approach to reasonable adjustments.
