Access and student success

The Access and Student Success Teams support young people throughout their educational lifecycle. We work to engage with young people, mature learners and communities to access, succeed and progress through university to improve outcomes for under-represented groups.

Widening Access

Widening access addresses patterns of under-representation in higher education. At Leeds we believe that students should have the opportunity to participate in higher education and realise their potential, regardless of their age, educational background or personal circumstances.

Student Success

Student success focuses on closing the gaps in outcomes which exist between specific groups of students in terms of non-continuation rates, degree attainment and progression.

Access and Student Success Strategy

The Access and Student Success Strategy outlines the University’s vision and approach to ensuring students from all backgrounds are able to progress to, and benefit from, an enriching and successful experience at Leeds.
