Postgraduate research students engaged in teaching

This code of practice applies to postgraduate research students registered at the University of Leeds who are engaged in teaching at the University and paid on an hourly rate.

Postgraduate research students are a valuable asset to University teaching. Students involved in teaching can gain valuable experience and career development as well as financial benefit.

Decisions on the allocation of available teaching duties will be made in line with good employment practice and in line with our equality policies.

The Code of practice on postgraduate research students engaged in teaching (PDF) sets out how we will select and appoint students to teach and the training and support that will be provided.
