Each year, the Exams & Progress team send schools an examinations schedule which lists all modules offered by that school. The schedule is used to gather information about module examination requirements.
Action needed by staff in schools
Schools are asked to confirm a number of pieces of information including:
- Which modules will be active in the coming session and in which semester(s).
- The particular examination requirements for each module including any papers that need to be scheduled simultaneously or which need to be early in an exam period.
- Any special resit papers.
Schools should provide the name of the Module Manager (or another nominated module contact) for each examination to cover any instances of problems or queries arising with the paper during the examination in the absence of an examiner.
This information is added to a database which is used to plan the management of examinations across the University. Examination question papers should be submitted in camera-ready copy by the dates shown in the timeline. Schools are urged to contact the Exams & Progress team immediately if any potential difficulty in meeting the deadlines is recognised.
