Taught Student Education Board

Taught Student Education Board (TSEB) is responsible for providing strategic direction to the Student Education area.

TSEB takes a holistic approach which combines quality assurance and quality enhancement. It also considers developments in all aspects of taught student support. The Board keeps a watching brief on national and international developments and coordinates the University's response to national consultations.

TSEB oversees the Faculty Taught Student Education Committees and the University’s holistic approach to Student Education, in identifying, promoting, and enhancing best practice in learning, teaching, assessment and the broader Student Education experience and in monitoring the implementation of strategies underpinning the delivery of Student Education. TSEB also oversees three principle committees:

  • Portfolio, Recruitment and Curriculum (to include all curriculum and portfolio approvals across all taught programmes, on campus and online)
  • Student Experience, Opportunities and Futures (issues focused on the student experience, pedagogy, employability)
  • Quality and Standards

Committee papers

Documents, including agendas, committee papers and minutes are available in the TSEB area on Sharepoint. These can be accessed by any student or member of staff, but you will need to log on to the system with your University IT username and password.
