Quality assurance cross-institutional functional management team

The team leads the development and delivery of processes relating to quality assurance and brings together specialists from across the University.

Functional managers from faculties and colleagues from relevant central teams work together to develop practice to ensure the quality of the programmes of study undertaken by our students.

Core activities

The quality assurance cross-institutional management team (CIFMT) is involved in the quality assurance of learning and teaching across the University. Specific activities include:

  • managing module and programme approval processes
  • managing academic review processes, including running and analysing student surveys where appropriate
  • supporting Student Education committees
  • supporting accreditation reviews
  • participating in institutional review
  • appointing external examiners and managing the external examiner report process
  • managing collaborative delivery arrangements
  • supporting processes relating to fitness to practice.
